In Hawaiian, Mahli is associated with the meaning “gentle” or “tender,” reflecting softness and grace.

I painted Mahli in calming blues with three owls beside her. Owls are long seen as symbols of wisdom, deep knowing, and the ability to see what others may miss. Together they represent a quiet strength, the kind that comes from observing, trusting your instincts, and moving through life with calm awareness.
